This last weekend we had a sudden change of plans. We had 4 days with no plans and found ourselves looking at each other and wondering "what should we do now?" Well... what else would the Normans do if they had time to?... GO TO THE BEACH! DUH! So we found a STEAL of a deal... with a hotel ON the beach, we packed up and headed out to Monterey. We can't agree on what our favorite part of the trip was... was it eating "garlic fries" over-looking a bon-fire at a Carmel beach... or was it walking around at the hotel and feeling the ocean spray on our faces, or was it watching the 200+ lb. sunfish swim around at the aquarium? Maybe we'll just have to go back to make a final vote! (*attention all Grandmas & Grandpas... don't miss the video at the bottom of this post!*)

Though we missed you....it looks like you had a beautiful weekend. Life is always better...at the beach!
I'm jealous.
What are you teaching this child. If you keep this up, she'll grow thinking she can run to the beach just any time the mood hits her. Oh, that's right . . . she probably will be able to run to the beach any time she wants if she is near the Sound.
