All in a week's time...We're so glad it's SATURDAY!

It's been a rather busy week in our home. We started the week off with my birthday (thirty-something!). I totally got the best gift ever! We got a call from our home building supervisor telling us that our home was ready for what they call a "frame walk." (It's where the home owner-to-be goes through and makes sure that all of the upgrades like outlets, wiring, etc., are in the proper place and so on.) We were able to do the actual walk through on my birthday. It was kinda special... they broke ground on Andy's birthday and now we did our walk on my birthday. Pretty cool! Anyway... within one day they had ALL of the batting in. It's amazing!

For my birthday I got a steam mop... the one that I've been coveting for the last 5 MONTHS! I'm a believer. If you want to check it out... let me know... I'm totally willing to come do your floors and make you a believer too! Here's a before and after.... the floor actually squeaks when you walk on it!
Recently, my dad has found an (obsession) interest in guitars...and it has spread into our home. Andy had ordered a guitar on Ebay...and it was scheduled to arrive June 1st... but it didn't come for 2 more days. He was worse than a kid on Christmas morning... having to wait SOO long! When the UPS man finally drove up... guess who was waiting on the porch to greet him. I suppose it made the UPS man's day that he had one box less to carry up to the porch.

And then if you know my father, he can't leave anything alone... so Wednesday night we went over to the house and made some MINOR alterations (add a little wire here or there, an extra nail over here, moved a stud over there... the usual minor things. Hahaha.)


Yesterday they started to hang the drywall... and today... they're done... yeah... in TWO days!
It's amazing what a difference a little sheet rock will make!

AFTER sheet rock....A funny thing happened this week. I was getting dinner ready the other night, Jennah at my feet, as usual. I let her play with the lids to my pans... which she loves to "make music" with a spatula on. I left the room to set the table and when I came back to the sink I looked down...and saw this...
my first thought was... I don't remember putting my lids on the floor in decending order... OH WAIT... Jennah did that... she lined them up ... in DECENDING order. She has no chance... her father and mother are math heads. She can't help it. Funny girl... I LOVE HER!!!
