Ho Ho Ho!! What do ya know!!?

Yes... we're finally updating our blog. It's been quite busy around our home. Between decorating, making treats, shopping and preparing for parties...we've hardly been able to find time to think in the last few weeks. Sh-weew!.... We need a break!
Just as a quick update... our newest family member, Buddy is transitioning to our home very well. He is a smart one who is so patient with Jennah (who LOVES him SOO much). We've been 5+ days without one "ooops" on the carpet (knock on wood). Nibley is warming up to him as well. Snack time seems to prove that a lesson in "manners" would be beneficial, as you can see. Poor Jennah, getting attacked by the wild beasts... all in the name of a vanilla animal cracker! Watch your bowls!

This is how we've been doing reading time... it's a bit difficult to turn the pages, but I manage.

One of Jennah's FAVORITE (as in we have to read it at the very least... 3-5 times a day, no joke) books is " Fancy Nancy's Splendiferous Christmas." I found it back around Thanksgiving at Costco... and bought it just because I LOVED the glitter on the book jacket! TOO CUTE! We'd never read "Fancy Nancy" anything before, but now we are "FANCY NANCY GIRLS!!" For sure!

.... We even made our very own "Fancy Nancy Christmas" TODDLER FRIENDLY tree decorations! On each of the 5 days prior to our getting our FRESH tree, Jennah and I would make a set of ornaments. One day we made foam circles and attached glitter foam stickers. Another day we made yarn tassels. The next we use glitter pom-poms and attached them to mini-popsicle stick "snowflakes" that we had spray painted white. My personal favorite was silver cupcake wrappers cut to make flowers that you attach to some of the light bulbs. Once we put all of our beautiful ornaments on (with metallic pipe cleaners, no hooks please!), Jennah would "rearrange" the bottom 3 feet of the tree on a daily basis. This process was serious, and required each ornament to be inspected, relocated and then admired. Watching her do it was like looking at myself in the mirror. Scary. We were going to put "snowballs" on the tree... but ran out of time... so we just have fun throwing them up in the air and having a "snowball party" instead!
Monday, Dec. 21st was Jennah's 1st school performance. Just picture it....17 (yes, seventeen!) 2- year-olds on riser/stage... singing. Jennah was nothing short of a Drama Queen. The girl loves her some stage!!! You can't see too much of her in this video...

but here's what is going on... on HER part of the stage, which she's managed to clear off for her own personal use...

The video doesn't do a justice... it still makes me laugh though.
Cute girl!!

Well, there you have it... we've updated our blog... and now we can hopefully have more time on our hands to update it a bit more often. We hope you had a busy, happy and healthy holiday season too! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!!

Awww, that made my day. Who knew that she could just keep getting cuter and cuter? Tell our little princess that Shannyn was slacking, but has something in the mail for her soon.
