I have a good feeling about this!
June 1st was my birthday.... it was GREAT! Having a 3-day holiday weekend right before makes it feel really great! We stayed home, had a very productive yard sale... which led to our purchasing (finally) a flat screen t.v. Love those holiday sales! So the rest of the weekend we made excuses to sit around and watch movies to "break in" the new buy. For my actual birthday we went to a new local restaurant called "Pismo's".... as in the beach. The atmosphere was INCREDIBLE.... ALL of the windows to the building roll up... like a garage door...and with the fans blowing on an unseasonably cool June evening.... it really did feel like we left Fresno for the night! LOVED IT! Red Velvet cake was the perfect way to finish off the night!
We absolutely LOVE having our park right across the street!.... Friday night kicked up the perfect breeze for kite-flying. Just so happens that Andy got a "gimmick gift" from work... a kite of all things (no, no one does just pens anymore). It was seriously the BEST kite I've EVER seen.... and it was FREE! LOVE IT! All we had to do was pull it out of the bag!... absolutely NOTHING to put together... the string was already tied onto the kite! (Why aren't more children's toys like this?!?! Usually it takes forever to get the stinkin' toy OUT of the box which is bound by an ENDLESS number of zipties or metal twist-ties... okay, sorry, I won't continue any further on that tangent, it should be a whole other blog posting topic.)
Anyway, Jennah loved flying the kite... ALL by herself!!
... until she caught sight of the camera.As a great-granddaughter and niece of photographers.... the girl has a NEED to take pictures... here's what she saw to include into here photo-journalistic capturing...
She even took a picture of us...
I took the camera back to take this picture....
Which resulted in getting a face like this...
Followed by repetitive comments like "mommy, more camera" "mommy, no I need take more pictures".... and so on. What a hoot this girl is!Also, this past weekend we got to visit with Cousin Shannyn, who came up to Fresno for an dear friend's funeral. Jennah LOVED being with her and didn't want Cousin "Shannah" to leave (she's one of cousins bonded by the unruly right side calicks... along with Debbie and Shelley). Good thing we'll be going down south in less than two weeks to celebrate Cousin Shannyn's GRADUATION!!! Woo-hoo!!
