It's beginning to look a lot like... FALL!

It certainly looks like we have made it through the worst part of summer... 80-85 degree temps are SO wonderful! I was starting to get that "hermit" feeling, forgetting that there was actually life outside of my 73 degree house (although no one else is outside, including the spiders and ants that were finding refuge in our home because of the heat). I think we were going a little stir-crazy.... all couped up for so many weeks.... Jennah was finding it totally amusing to run around the room with her left over birthday party balloons. I was just getting dizzy watching her... or maybe there was just some helium leaking into the room?

It's been great being able to go out into our backyard again. When I go out there it feels like I'm coming home from a really long vacation and I'm re-experiencing my yard for the first time... or maybe I'm subconsciously taking account of which plants survived the heat and which I will have to accept were devoured by scorching sun. Either way, I love MY yard... which includes green grass... and is not covered in birdseed because the upstairs neigbor insisted on feeding the birds and letting the droppings take over our "patio yard." It's been great to just hang out in our patio, eat popsicles, and paint with water colors.
With the cooler weather... evening activities have resumed. Hanging out at the park after dinner, learning to rollerskate with Uncle Travis & Val... I LOVE FALL!September birthdays have been a blast! Jennah loved all of the celebrations for her birthday and has totally gotten the birthday gifting thing down. We get ready for the party by wrapping the gift, signing the card, and eating at RED ROBIN'S. Twice in less than 12 days... for Gawpee and Pop's birthdays. This month, at school, Jennah's class has been talking about apples. She loves seeing her artwork in the hallways of her school. Can't lie, so do I. I think her apple is the cutest of course!Last week, in class they even made caramel apples! I've never even done that!! So Andy had the day off of work, and we went together to pick her up and make candied apples! Too fun!! Here's the recipe... we'll be doing it again at home for sure!
This first month in her new "Caterpillar" class (the 3 year-olds), Jennah has already learned SOO much. Her new favorite thing to do is write her name! (She's actually tracing the letters written in yellow.) She's so proud of herself! She loves signing cards!
I'm just so in love with this little girl! She's so fun! She's just come down with her first cold of the season, and is still as happy as they come. She really LOVES crafts (not sure where she picked that up from) and helping me cut things out on the cricut. I really wish that I had a craft room.... but then again, maybe if we did, you'd never see us... even if the weather was nice!

She's turning into quite the little artist! Feel free to send Cousin Shannyn any of her "great works" for my gallery anytime! :) OH and can I just say how much I LOVED seeing her sporting the outfits I got her??? Made my day- she would look cute in a burlap sack but even better in a princess tee! Love and miss you so much, happy to see posts!
