Christmas is getting earlier every year....

I seriously have problems believing that this last month is actually over. I remember parts of it... but I thought that life isn't supposed to get this busy until about November or December, with all the parties and shopping and all. My life is starting to resemble the idea of holiday decorations being set out all way too early in the retail stores... it's August and yet it looks like its Christmas time. Swim suits and umbrellas being sold at the same time. I'll never understand it.

Anyways... October. It was a blur.

1 overnight trip to Monterey
2 weddings
2 pints of blood for CA blood bank
1 family night at the Fresno Fair
1 pumpkin patch field trip
1 cold
2 birthdays
1 Halloween block party
1 virus
1 funeral and quick trip to Seattle
2 Halloween costumes

Here's what it all looked like....

Monterey. It was our last trip before our passes expired.... we had to make it big, so we spent the night. Jennah enjoyed acting like a MBA docent. It melts my heart to see her look into those displays. If I could only hear what she was thinking.
the pumpkin patch....Jennah LOVED the "turban squash"
The neighborhood block party... complete with gigantic pumpkins to decorate! We donated blood and received tickets to the Fair. We ran into a friend who whisked Jennah from one animal to the next. Jennah was in farm animal heaven! Her absolute favorite attraction at the fair was.... "Alaskan Racing Pigs!" She still talks about them and laughs! On 10-10-10... our friends (and neighbors) Tammy and Gerard got married... thanks to my cricut... this is what I did to their car!!

Our quick, whirlwind trip to Washington.Andy's Grandmother Hazel Hartmann passed away. She was a darling woman and mother of 5 wonderful children. She raised the mother of my wonderful husband and I am so grateful for that. I'm feel so blessed that Jennah had a chance to meet her great-grandmother.
The flowers on her casket were beautiful. Jennah loves her Gramma Janet!

Finally... trick-or-treating! Jennah's been telling everyone for the last month (at least) that she was "3 on my birthday" and that she was going to "be a peacock for Halloween." (Thanks to Cousin Juliann...for making her dreams come true!!! xoxo)My FAVORITE peacock picture!!!

I know she didn't even remember what trick-or-treating was... but she definately got the hang of it after the first house. Uncle Travis loved being her "date" for the night of festivities (I think he was just living vicariously through her). I offered to carry her bag (which was overflowing)... and she simply said, "no Mommy, I got it." How did she know I'd be digging through it looking for all the peanut butter cups?!?

Little things that just make my day.... (silly, but true!)

Needed to fix the pile of shoes at the garage door... what to do?
Pick up one of those empty display boxes at Costco... you know the one with all those CUTE ribbons for really cheap (yeah, I actually got some of the ribbon rolls too!) But these display boxes are sturdy... and just too good to toss out! I got some weird looks... but look at my shoe pile now!!!... oh wait... WHAT PILE!?!? Ahhh... I feel better now.

At the fair... I found this booth... It's about stinkin' time! The public is so breastfeeding unfriendly... they just assume that everyone bottle feeds. Maybe if these became the norm, other mothers would feel more confident about breastfeeding. I would LOVE to volunteer for this booth!

Twin yolks!! Now, how often does that happen
