Sad news this week. Our sweet Matty has passed away from a sudden health complication, the result of a back injury. In a condensed version, Matty had a ruptured disk that paralyzed her from the hips down. After 3 nights in the intensive care we brought her home. The pain took its toll on her. By Tuesday (7/29) morning, we knew that it was time to let her go. She had let us know that it was time. At noon, with every ounce of love and compassion, we were together as a family while she was released from her suffering. Our pets are like one of us... this loss has been devastating. Reba has taken the loss hard as well. She has been carrying around Matty's collar since Tuesday.

So sad, I'm sorry for the loss of your dog. Losing pets is hard, but at least she is no longer in pain!
I got the email from your mom yesterday- and it was really sad to hear! She was very sweet and well-loved to say the least...I will even miss her! Love you guys!
What a great picture of a trully wonderful little spirit. Janet and I were very sadden by her loss. We only wish there were some way we could help to ease the pain.

Anyone who has had to send a pet into the next life, knows exactly how you are feeling right now. I still miss our dog winnie. i'm so sorry and hope you are at least feeling comforted that it was the absolute best thing for her.
Oh, I'm SO sorry to hear that. It's sad to hear about Reba carrying her collar around...that makes me want to cry.
