This is how we decorate the tree...and decorate the tree, again and again!

We decided that we all NEEDED a real tree this year. Our first Christmas married we almost ended up in Divorce Court because we tried to set up a real tree. Every Christmas since... we happily put up our artificial 7 1/2 ft. tree. The only problem is that it just doesn't smell right. We remedied that with a couple of Costco fresh wreaths. This year we were just about to set up the tree... and thought, maybe we should try a real tree again. I recruited my brother, Travis, who claimed setting up a real tree was "no big deal." Well, let's just say after 2 trips to Home Depot, 1 to Target, and 3 tree stands later... we officially have a perfect REAL tree in our home. (We sold our old artificial tree on Craig's list in about 1 hr 45 min. A stand takes up less space in the garage.) We are all happy with our real tree, especially Nibley. He loves to sit under it and nibble on the branches. Once we started decorating the tree, Jennah picked up very quickly on the "correct way" to decorate. Ornaments alike need to be spread out on the tree and no two ornaments the same near each other. This girl is SO my daughter!! Every morning (and day, and night) she rearranges the ornaments on the tree. It's pretty funny to see the bottom 2 feet of the tree look different every day. Every ornament must be inspected... and then used to decorate the tree... again and again... Tis the season!!! Bring on the 'nog!!

P.S. Jennah took her last dose of steroids this morning (thank goodness, I want my kid back!). She's doing A LOT better and only has an occasional speckle here or there.
Thank you for all the well wishes on her behalf!
